1. The Radio X Best Of British Countdown with B&Q Promotion (‘Promotion’) is organised by Global (as defined in the General Terms and Conditions). The Promotion will run from Monday 24th March to Sunday 13th April 2025 on Radio X. Global is the Promoter. NDL is the Prize Provider.
2. IMPORTANT: The Promotion is subject to these Specific Rules and the General Terms and Conditions which are available here (together, the ‘Promotion Terms and Conditions’). Entry into the Promotion constitutes acceptance of these Specific Rules and the General Terms and Conditions.
Details of the Promotion:
3. To vote in the Radio X Best of British countdown you must:
a. Go online to the Promotion entry page which can be accessed at https://charts.radiox.co.uk/best-of-british-2025/ or via the Global Player app by clicking on the ‘Radio X Best Of British’ tile.
b. Submit three votes for your three favourite pieces of British music (your “Vote”)
c. Register your contact details.
4. Online entry will open at 06:00 (GMT) on Monday 24th March 2025 and will close at 23:59 (BST) on Sunday 13th April 2025. Votes received before or after this time will not be included in the Promotion.
Best of British Countdown Rules:
5. “British music” is defined as being written, recorded and released by a band whose majority of members are British.
6. To be eligible for inclusion in the chart, songs must have been played at least five times on Radio X’s main station (this excludes Radio X Classic Rock, Radio X Chilled, Radio X 90s and Radio X 00s) within the last 12 months (24th March 2024 to 23rd March 2025).
7. You must vote for three separate pieces of music. For the avoidance of doubt, you cannot vote for any one piece of music more than once. You must either select your favourite pieces of music from the available artists and their songs provided on the entry page or input your own suggestion if it is not available on the list.
8. Any songs voted for that are deemed by us to be rude, offensive, defamatory or encourage or incite the commission of crime will not be included in the final chart. We may include adjustments for brand suitability.
9. Your Vote will not count if the Vote is incomplete, or the piece of music cannot be accurately identified.
10. You must include your contact details to ensure your Vote can be counted and verified. Votes submitted without contact details will not be counted in the chart.
11. Votes are weighted in terms of preference. A first-choice Vote is attributed 3 points, a second choice Vote is attributed 2 points, and a third choice Vote is attributed 1 point.
12. Votes should be entered in order of preference and the final chart is dependent on the total number of points assigned to each song. The Radio X Best of British countdown will be played out on Easter Monday, 21st April 2024.
13. If two or more pieces of music tie with the same number of points, the number of first, second and third-choice votes will be taken into consideration to decide the final countdown positions.
14. No automated, machine assisted, third party, syndicate or other group votes will be accepted. We shall discount any votes that appear to have used any of these methods.
15. We reserve the right to remove bulk votes that we believe arise as a result of a concerted attempt to skew the vote, and which render the vote an inaccurate reflection of voters' preferences.
16. Votes submitted by text, on social media or posted elsewhere online (outside of the Global Player mobile app) will not be eligible to be included in the countdown.
17. Only eligible votes submitted on the online form via the Global Player mobile app will be included in the countdown.
18. The results of the Radio X Best Of British 2025 Countdown with B&Q will be broadcast on Easter Monday, 21st April 2025.
19. You must include your email address, phone number, and post code to ensure your Vote can be counted and verified. Votes submitted without contact details will not be included in the countdown.
20. By entering your votes, you will be automatically entered into the B&Q voucher giveaway.
B&Q Voucher Giveaway Rules:
21. Within seven days of the closing time of the Promotion, all eligible entries will be entered into a draw. One entry will be selected at random, and the winning entrant will be contacted by one of our representatives via email on the email with which you entered the Promotion. If such winner does not respond within 28 days from being contacted, they will forfeit their right to the prize, and we shall be entitled to select another winner by another random draw. That subsequent winner must respond to the notification email within 28 days of the date on which they are notified, or they will also forfeit the prize.
22. We may publish and publicise your name and we may refer to your association with the Promotion and/or the prize, in any and all media, worldwide, in perpetuity, for publicity and PR purposes solely in connection with the Promotion; subject always to our Privacy Policy and all applicable laws.
23. In relation to winners (and runners up if applicable), you understand that we may: (i) interview you and your guest(s)/travel companion(s) which we may film, photograph and/or record and; (ii) film, photograph and/or record, you and your guest(s)/travel companion(s) in connection with the Promotion, either by telephone or in person, and we may use such films, recordings and/or photographs for publicity and PR purposes in any and all media, worldwide, as often and for as long as we consider appropriate or desirable in connection with the Promotion, unless you object to your and/or your guest’s information being published or made available. We may also publish your and your guest(s)/travel companion(s) name, image, social media handle and/or profile picture.
Eligibility:
24. The Promotion is only open to residents of the UK aged 18 years of age and over and who are based in the UK at the time of entry.
25. Voting is restricted to three Votes per person; duplicate Votes will be excluded from the Promotion.
26. Only one name and telephone number may be used by you in relation to this Promotion. The use of multiple names, telephone numbers and/or devices is a breach of our Promotion Terms and Conditions and we reserve the right to disqualify your entry(ies) and you will forfeit your prize should we know or have reason to believe that you attempted to use or did use more than one name, phone number and/or device to enter this Promotion. It is also prohibited for anyone else to enter the Promotion using the same phone number including household members or friends.
27. Before transferring any winnings to you we reserve the right to request Photo ID (such as your passport or driving licence) and confirmation that the telephone number you entered on belongs to you and proof of your home address (such as a phone bill with your name, address and telephone number on). You agree and understand that should you win a cash prize you may be required to provide these to verify your eligibility. If you fail to provide the requested information and we are unable to verify your eligibility, we reserve the right to withhold any prize from you.
Prize:
27. One winner will receive a B&Q voucher worth £1,000.
- Card can be redeemed in store and online in the UK but cannot be used towards goods sold by a third-party seller on diy.com, at call centres, concession stores or outside the UK.
- You should treat gift cards like cash.
- Lost or stolen cards cannot be replaced.
- Please note this card is not a cheque guarantee, credit or charge card and no interest is paid on card balances.
- The gift card will expire after five years. You will not be able to use this card after that date and any unused balance on the card will be lost.
28. Gift cards will be delivered within 28 working days from the date that NDL receives confirmation of the delivery address from the winner. NDL will do their best to adhere to these time frames, however due to the ongoing uncertainty with World events, there may be delays with stock availability and deliveries.
29. The prize is non-transferable and non-refundable.
30. We reserve the right to substitute the prize with another prize of equal or greater value at our absolute discretion.

Data Protection:
32. Your personal data that you provide to us will be collected and processed by us, our licensees (including Communicorp UK Limited) and if applicable, our service providers, network operators and suppliers in order to administer and fulfil the Promotion. Your personal data may also be disclosed to the Phone-paid Services Authority, Ofcom and/or the Advertising Standards Authority at their reasonable request for regulatory purposes, for example, in order to prevent, investigate and detect crime, fraud or anti-social behaviour and comply with law enforcement agencies and applicable advertising codes.
33. By entering a Promotion, you acknowledge that any personal data provided by you in connection with the Promotion will be processed as set out above and in accordance with our Privacy Policy which sets out full details of how we process personal data and how you can exercise your rights as a data subject. Please ensure you have read and understood our Privacy Policy before entering any Promotion.
34. You may be asked if you want to opt-in to marketing from us when you enter a Promotion. If you choose to opt-in, we will use your personal data for marketing purposes (see Global's Privacy Policy for more details). You can withdraw your consent to marketing at any time by unsubscribing.
35. We and the prize providers may transfer and process personal data outside of the EEA and UK for the purposes of administering the Promotion. Where any transfers are made outside of the EEA or UK will ensure appropriate safeguards to protect your personal data are in place.
36. When you enter a Promotion, we will retain your personal data for up to three years for internal purposes and to comply with our regulatory obligations.
37. You may request the erasure of your personal data by emailing privacy@global.com. If your data is erased prior to the conclusion of a Promotion, you will forfeit your right to enter the Promotion and/or claim any prize and we reserve the right to select another entrant to participate in the Promotion or withdraw the prize and select another winner, as applicable.
